Honor Launches Innovative WIN Gaming Laptop with Advanced Cooling System

Mumbai, April 14: The Honor WIN gaming laptop is set to debut on April 23 in China. Ahead of its launch, the company has unveiled key features during a recent PC technology communication conference.

The primary focus of this new laptop is its advanced cooling system. Honor introduces the Dongfeng tail jet cooling engine, which is built around a unique airflow design. Instead of using a conventional internal fan layout, the company has developed what it claims to be the industry’s first centrifugal axial flow mixed air system.

This innovative setup utilizes the thickness at the rear of the laptop to accommodate four self-developed axial fans in parallel, all linked through an internal airflow duct.

According to Honor’s test data, this system achieves an internal airflow exceeding 6.3 CFM, with total system airflow surpassing 21 CFM. The company has also managed to reduce the size of the fan components, with motor sizes around 10 mm, while achieving speeds over 20,000 RPM.

In comparison to a standard three-fan configuration, Honor asserts that this design boosts internal airflow by 57% and overall airflow by 10%, while also slightly lowering keyboard temperatures.

The cooling system is engineered to support a total performance output of 270W. Honor claims this enhancement allows the laptop to maintain high loads more effectively, particularly when paired with hardware such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.

Compared to traditional cooling methods, the company reports a modest increase in overall airflow and a 20W improvement in power handling under similar conditions.

Additional Features

Alongside the laptop, Honor showcased a 360W power adapter utilizing gallium nitride technology. This adapter is designed to deliver full power while ensuring compatibility across various PC brands through interchangeable connectors. The company also introduced a range of accessories, including a backpack, gaming headset, and mouse, all under the WIN branding.

In addition to hardware advancements, Honor discussed its software and ecosystem plans during the event. The company announced the beginning of the AI PC 3.0 era and introduced a new assistant named YOYO Claw. This assistant is part of a new category of AI-driven PCs, although further details on its practical applications remain limited.
