Intensive checking operations are underway at key border points in Noida. Due to the unrest, 95% of companies are observing a “guest holiday” today. However, some businesses are operating at a limited capacity, with workers seen on-site. The administration has called representatives from 70 companies for discussions regarding their demands. The Police Commissioner has urged workers and the public to ignore rumors and maintain peace.
He assured that all issues would be resolved through dialogue and that industrial development would not be hindered. During investigations, police discovered the involvement of organized elements in the unrest. So far, over 300 individuals have been detained, with several arrests made. Authorities have identified more than 50 Twitter accounts that spread rumors to incite workers.
Additionally, several WhatsApp groups have been pinpointed, where QR codes were used to connect and incite workers. Investigations revealed attempts by certain elements to incite violence in other states as well. Workers were provoked through viral audio and chats, with a coordinated campaign being run via call centers.
There are also indications of funding for the protests, with investigations into the money trail ongoing. Police have filed FIRs against incendiary posts on various platforms. Furthermore, a handle linked to a political party is under scrutiny. The administration has stated that strict action will be taken against all organizations and individuals involved in this matter.
