Mumbai, August 9: Amid ongoing discussions about alleged thefts of donations at temples in Ayodhya, a heartwarming story of honesty has emerged from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex. A temple worker returned a diamond-studded gold chain worth approximately 20 lakh rupees to its rightful owner, setting an inspiring example of integrity.
The chain was found on the road by Dhruvesh Mishra, a volunteer at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, near the Amava temple on the way to Hanumangarhi. After discovering the valuable item, Mishra chose not to keep it for himself. Instead, he began searching for its owner. He went to the PFC office and arranged for a public announcement, inviting the owner to claim the chain.
Following the announcement, a woman named Nirmala Devi, wife of Mohan Kumar from Muzaffarnagar, came forward to reclaim her lost treasure. With police present, she underwent necessary questioning and verification before the chain was returned to her. Nirmala expressed that the chain held immense emotional value for her, as it was a cherished gift from her late husband. She emphasized that its worth far exceeded its monetary value.
This incident stands in stark contrast to recent controversies surrounding donations and alleged thefts at temples in Ayodhya. Questions have been raised about the management and counting of donations at the Shri Ram temple, alongside political debates regarding alleged irregularities.
