Police recover country-made pistol, live cartridge, illegal liquor, and Scorpio vehicle
Jaipur, October 15 (Daily Kiran): In a major breakthrough under the ongoing special drive against organized crime, the Kotputli-Behror Police have arrested hardcore criminal and history-sheeter Vikram alias Vikki along with illegal weapons and other suspicious items. The arrest was made by the Harsora Police Station team.
Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Bishnoi said that on October 14, police received a tip-off that history-sheeter Vikram Khatoti, along with his associates, was coming from the Bansur side in a black Scorpio vehicle carrying illegal arms.
Tried to Escape Police Checkpoint
Acting swiftly, Harsora Police set up a checkpoint. However, upon seeing the police, Vikram tried to break through the barricade and flee. Police teams chased the vehicle, and as the road narrowed through a field, the accused abandoned the Scorpio and attempted to escape on foot. The team displayed promptness and managed to capture Vikram alias Vikki, son of Madaram, at the scene.
Weapons and Illegal Liquor Seized
From the possession of the arrested accused, police recovered one country-made pistol, a live cartridge, a case of Heer Ranjha brand illicit liquor, the Scorpio vehicle used in the crime, and two Android mobile phones. Three of Vikram’s accomplices managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
SP Bishnoi said special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the absconding accused.
Vikram alias Vikki is a hardcore criminal and history-sheeter of Harsora Police Station, with a long criminal record including cases of murder, robbery, dacoity, assault, and possession of illegal weapons registered across multiple police stations.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Jaipur Range Inspector General of Police Rahul Prakash and District Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Bishnoi.
