Gandhinagar, August 19: A crucial review meeting on law and order was held on Tuesday under the leadership of Gujarat’s Director General of Police (DGP) Gyanendra Singh Malik. The meeting focused on the emergency service 112 and its response times, with detailed discussions taking place.
Senior police officials from various cities and districts participated via video conference. The meeting, held at the police headquarters, included all police commissioners, range heads, and district police superintendents. The emphasis was on the current state of law and order and the efficiency of emergency service 112.
The functioning of the Emergency Response Support System 112 was reviewed in detail. Additionally, strict instructions were issued to ensure the availability of police vehicles and drivers, along with immediate repairs for off-road vehicles.
The meeting stressed the importance of accurate attendance for 112 staff and proper coordination with the control room during the leave approval process. This aims to ensure that citizens receive prompt and effective police assistance during emergencies or crises.
The state police chief provided clear guidance on continuously monitoring police vehicle operations. He emphasized the need for improvements to minimize response times and ensure immediate assistance to the public during emergencies.
