Greater Noida Takes Firm Action Against Census Duty Negligence

Greater Noida, June 3: The administration in Greater Noida is adopting a strict stance against employees neglecting their duties related to the crucial Census-2027. Action has been initiated against 29 enumerators who failed to report for duty and assist in government operations.

The charge officer in Greater Noida has recommended filing FIRs against these employees to the DCP of Noida.

The Census-2027 process is currently underway in the district, with approximately 3,000 employees appointed as enumerators. Their responsibilities include collecting data door-to-door and fulfilling census-related duties in designated areas. However, 29 employees have been identified as not having reported for duty even after the deadline.

The administration attempted to contact these employees multiple times via mobile phone. Duty orders and other necessary documents were also sent through WhatsApp, but the employees refused to accept the duty-related documents.

Officials state that this not only constitutes a disregard for government orders but also falls under the category of non-cooperation in a matter of national importance. The names of the 29 enumerators recommended for FIRs include Seema Devi, Pradeep Kumar, Preeti Sharma, Arya, Vandana Singh, G.K. Babu, Shashi, Amita Singh, Preeti Singh, Manisha Mathuria, Pramod Singh, Kishori, Tomar, Vandana, Mamta, Durdaana, Neetu, Pradeep Sharma, Gulab Singh, Lalita, Durga Shukla, Dhan Devi, Kamal Singh Chaudhary, Rajesh Kumar, and Kishori Singh, among others.

The charge officer has made it clear that any negligence in a national task like the census will not be tolerated. A warning has been issued to all enumerators who have yet to start their work, urging them to immediately report for duty and commence the census tasks. Failure to comply will result in strict administrative and legal action as per regulations.

The administration believes that the census serves as the foundation for the country’s development plans, resource distribution, and policy decisions. Therefore, active participation and cooperation from all employees are essential for this undertaking.
