
Greater Noida, August 27: The police in Greater Noida have arrested three wanted suspects in connection with an assault and death threat case. The arrests took place in the village of Achheja Buzurg. The accused have been identified as Nasir alias Sonu, Qasim, and Abdul Majid. According to the police, all three are residents of the Bhojpur police station area in Ghaziabad.
The incident began on August 24, 2026, when three young men from Achheja Buzurg—Arif, son of Jamal Ali, Irfan, son of Jamshed Ali, and Nadeem, son of Shamshad Ali—were traveling by car towards Dankaur.
While en route, their vehicle was struck from behind by a Mahindra Thar, allegedly driven by Nasir alias Sonu. It is reported that he was driving recklessly, leading to the collision with Irfan’s car. Following the crash, Irfan confronted Nasir, which escalated into a verbal and physical altercation involving Nasir, Qasim, and Majid against Irfan and Nadeem.
During this confrontation, the victims were reportedly threatened with death. The victims filed a complaint at the Dankaur police station on August 26, 2026. Based on this complaint, the police registered a case. To apprehend the wanted suspects, the Dankaur police utilized local intelligence and beat policing. They successfully arrested all three suspects from Achheja Buzurg.
The arrested individuals include Nasir, aged 30, Qasim, aged 26, and Abdul Majid, aged 30, all hailing from village Todi in Bhojpur, Ghaziabad. The police revealed that both Nasir and Qasim have prior criminal records. Nasir had a case registered against him in 2019 under Section 393 of the Indian Penal Code at the Phase-2 police station in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Similarly, Qasim faced charges in 2020 under Sections 323, 324, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code at the Bhojpur police station in Ghaziabad.
The Dankaur police confirmed that all three suspects were wanted in the current case, and further legal actions are underway. Investigations into other aspects of the incident are also ongoing.
