Noida, August 27: The Noida Authority has launched a significant initiative to strengthen and enhance healthcare services in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Following the directives of the Chief Executive Officer, plans are underway to establish the Ayushman Arogya Mandir and urban Ayushman temples under the Prime Minister‘s Jan Arogya Yojana to expand health facilities in urban areas.
The primary goal is to provide better primary healthcare services to residents nearby and ensure that the benefits of state and central government health schemes reach as many people as possible. In coordination with the health department of Gautam Buddh Nagar, the Noida Authority is constructing the Ayushman Arogya Mandir in the village of Kakrala Khaspur.
This center is being developed as a portable clinic, aimed at offering local medical services to residents of rural and surrounding areas. Construction is currently in progress, with plans to complete it by September. According to the authority, once the Ayushman Arogya Mandir is operational, it will be managed by the health department of Gautam Buddh Nagar. The center will not only provide primary healthcare services but also disseminate information about various health schemes and programs available through the health department.
This initiative is expected to reduce the need for people to travel long distances to hospitals or health centers for common health issues. The wellness center is designed to be approximately 12.200 x 9.150 meters, ensuring that essential facilities for patients and healthcare workers are available within the same premises. It will include an OPD room, wellness room, daycare room, waiting area, and staff/guard room, among other necessary arrangements.
Officials state that establishing such Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in urban areas will strengthen primary healthcare services. Additionally, it will increase access to healthcare services in population areas where residents currently have to travel considerable distances for minor or major health issues. Once operational, local residents can expect to receive health check-ups, medical consultations, and access to various government health schemes all in one location. After the construction is completed in September, the health department will initiate the process to manage the center, paving the way for improved and accessible healthcare services for the people of Kakrala Khaspur and surrounding areas.
