Patna, April 2: Union Minister Giriraj Singh has sharply criticized Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, for his failure to form a government after the 2025 assembly elections. Singh remarked that the public has shown Yadav a harsh reality following his significant defeat. He noted that Yadav has not learned from this setback.
During an election rally in Kerala, Tejashwi Yadav labeled Bihar as the “poorest state” in the country. In response, Singh humorously pointed out that while Yadav could not establish a government in Bihar, he is now attempting to become an “international leader” in Kerala.
Amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, Singh praised Prime Minister Modi’s policies, highlighting that oil prices have surged globally. However, he noted that the Modi government has reduced excise duties and other taxes in India, demonstrating a commitment to serving the nation. In contrast, countries like the United States, England, Germany, and Japan have seen significant increases in oil prices.
Singh also took a jab at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making inflammatory speeches while the Congress-led Himachal government has raised fuel prices. This, he argued, reveals the party’s double standards, adding that Gandhi behaves like an “innocent child.”
Singh attended the second day of the National Jute Board and Jute Corporation of India’s foundation day celebrations in Patna. He emphasized the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and initiatives like “Lakshmi Didi” in the jute sector, which are revitalizing the rural economy. Jute, being a natural, eco-friendly, and sustainable fiber, not only serves as a strong foundation for job creation but also empowers farmers, artisans, and women’s groups. He reaffirmed the collective commitment to elevate the jute sector to new heights in line with the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
