Mumbai, June 19: Actor Shekhar Suman’s talk show, “Shekhar Tonight,” unveils the lesser-known aspects of celebrities’ lives with each episode. Recently, Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal shared his untold stories on the show.
Currently, Gippy Grewal is in the spotlight for his upcoming film “Carry On Jatta 4.” During his candid conversation with host Shekhar Suman, he discussed his struggles and the relationship that supported him through tough times.
Gippy revealed, “The journey to stardom was not easy. I first entered the music industry and released three albums, but they did not gain much recognition. After facing continuous failures, a significant change occurred in my life when I got married and decided to move to Canada with my wife. Once there, I had to restart my life from scratch, as I had no identity and no source of income.”
He continued, “My first job was as a security guard. Later, I juggled three jobs at once. In the mornings, my wife and I delivered newspapers, and then she would head to her job as a manager at a sandwich restaurant. In the evenings, we had a cleaning contract at a mall. At that time, it was just the two of us, and we faced every challenge together.”
Gippy further shared, “During those tough days, our relationship grew stronger. We worked together every day and discussed our future—what to do, how to do it, and what steps to take to move forward. We saved our earnings, pooled them together, and with that money, I produced my next album, which brought me recognition in the industry.”
