Mumbai, June 21: On the occasion of World Motorcycle Day, actor Kanwar Dhillon reminisced about his first bike. Currently portraying Sachin in the TV show ‘Udaan Ki Asha,’ Kanwar shared how his childhood fascination with bikes evolved into a dream that he eventually realized through hard work.
Kanwar stated, “Bikes have been a significant part of my life. Riding gives me peace. Whenever I put on my helmet and hit the road, I feel a unique tranquility. For me, riding is like therapy, providing a break from daily stress.”
He added, “Bikes have made my life easier, saving me time and making travel more enjoyable.”
Reflecting on his childhood, Kanwar recalled, “I have had a passion for two-wheelers since a young age. It all started with a bicycle, but as I grew older, my love for bikes intensified. The thrill and excitement of riding have always captivated me. I dreamed of owning my bike even as a child.”
Kanwar also shared the story of purchasing his first bike. “My first bike was a Yamaha Fazer 150cc. At that time, I was in college and trying to advance my acting career. I had to travel long distances daily for auditions. So, I asked my father for a bike. He understood my need and agreed, but with one condition.”
He explained, “My father and I agreed that he would reclaim the bike’s cost once I got my first job. This condition felt like a huge responsibility for me. Later, when I earned money from my first TV show ‘The Buddy Project,’ I promptly repaid my father. That moment was one of the most special in my life.”
Kanwar expressed, “The satisfaction I felt from repaying my father’s loan with my hard-earned money is hard to put into words. It wasn’t just the joy of owning a bike; it was also the fulfillment of my responsibility.”
He mentioned, “Today, I own two bikes. Buying them felt like a dream come true. I hadn’t informed my family beforehand. When the delivery time came, I took them along and surprised them. Seeing their happiness made my joy even greater.”
Kanwar emphasized, “While the passion for riding is essential, responsibility and safety are even more critical. I never ride without a helmet and urge all riders to wear helmets while driving.”
