New Delhi, May 13: BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal regarding work-from-home, online classes, and carpooling, as well as the Enforcement Directorate’s actions in the West Bengal municipal recruitment scam.
Vallabh noted that India spends approximately ₹12.5 lakh crore on crude oil annually and imports ₹6.5 lakh crore worth of gold. “By controlling just 10% of these expenditures, we could save around ₹2 lakh crore in foreign currency,” he stated.
Commenting on the arrest of former West Bengal minister Sujit Bose by the ED, Vallabh emphasized that no one involved in fraud and corruption during the TMC’s 15 years in power would be spared. “The model of protecting and promoting infiltrators has been dismantled. A development model for the people of Bengal will now be implemented,” he added.
Regarding the swearing-in ceremony of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Vallabh remarked, “We have formed the government in Assam for the third consecutive time, increasing our number of legislators each time.”
Earlier, Vallabh criticized Asaduddin Owaisi, stating, “He now seems to have an issue with ‘Vande Mataram,’ reflecting his divisive mindset. The BJP believes in the policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and prioritizes national unity and sentiment. ‘Vande Mataram,’ composed by the great poet Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, should not be objected to, as it goes against the feelings of the nation. ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ will be shouted, ‘Vande Mataram’ will be sung, and ‘Jana Gana Mana’ will be honored.”
