G. Kishan Reddy Questions Revanth Reddys Claims, Warns Kerala Residents in Open Letter

New Delhi, April 3: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has addressed an open letter to the people of Kerala. In this letter, he highlights the “false guarantees” made by the Congress party in Telangana and urges caution among voters.

Reddy notes that Kerala is known for its educated and aware citizens who make informed decisions before voting. As the upcoming assembly elections approach, numerous leaders are visiting Kerala, making various promises. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited Kerala on April 1, but his statements failed to resonate with the public. He claimed that the Congress government in Telangana is fulfilling its promises and enjoys full support from the people.

In his letter, Reddy, who is also a Member of Parliament from Telangana, shares his observations about the situation in the state. He points out that the Congress party made over 420 promises, including six guarantees related to farmers, women, youth, and the poor, in order to gain power. These promises were heavily promoted with the involvement of prominent leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi, yet they have proven to be completely false.

He mentions that the Congress had promised farmers ₹15,000 per acre annually and ₹12,000 for agricultural laborers, but many seasons have passed without any farmer receiving this assistance. The promise of loan waivers remains unfulfilled, with around 4 million farmers still waiting for relief. The government now claims it lacks the funds to deliver on these commitments.

Additionally, Reddy discusses the promise of providing ₹2,500 monthly to women, along with gold for weddings and financial aid, stating that no woman has benefited from these schemes so far. There was also a plan to offer up to ₹25 lakh in support to students, which has not been implemented. The promise of 200,000 government jobs for youth in the first year has similarly not materialized.

Accusing the Congress of reducing many schemes to mere promises, G. Kishan Reddy advises the people of Kerala to learn from Telangana’s experience. He emphasizes that promises made during elections may sound appealing, but without proper planning and funding, they remain unfulfilled. Therefore, it is crucial to scrutinize the outcomes of similar promises made in the past before placing trust in new ones.

He concludes his letter by urging the people of Kerala to make informed decisions based on accurate information. He asserts that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the NDA is the only option that has genuinely worked for the people of Kerala. He requests that they give the BJP and its allies a chance to serve.
