
New Delhi, April 7: A strong wave of support for the Women’s Reservation Bill is sweeping across the nation. Politicians, social activists, and the general public are united in their belief that this bill will enhance women’s participation in governance and decision-making processes. This initiative is expected to amplify women’s voices and ensure that societal needs are addressed in a more sensitive and inclusive manner in every decision made in the country.
The Modi government is preparing to introduce the Women’s Reservation Bill in a special session of Parliament.
Speaking on the matter, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh stated that the party has successfully passed the Women’s Reservation Bill from local councils to Parliament, and its impact will be evident in the upcoming elections. The entire party is working towards its implementation. Initiatives like promoting ‘Drone Didis’ in villages and providing opportunities for daughters of the nation to become pilots, engineers, and serve in security forces have been prioritized under PM Modi’s leadership. The campaigns ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and women’s empowerment remain at the forefront of their agenda.
Aparna Yadav, Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission, remarked that this move sends a strong and clear message regarding the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment. She noted that the Prime Minister delivered a powerful and direct message when the new Parliament was formed, prioritizing the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill.
BJP leader Ashwini Kumar Sharma criticized the Congress party for losing its direction, stating that in their opposition to PM Modi, they often find themselves opposing the nation. He pointed out that while they speak of empowering women, they tend to retreat when it comes to issues directly affecting women.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Daya Shankar Singh emphasized that Prime Minister Modi’s decision to allocate 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies marks a revolutionary step for women’s representation and leadership.
