Noida, August 13: Former Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh has commented on the recent explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort and the discovery of 90 obscene videos linked to a former MP.
In an interview with a news agency, Singh stated that it was previously reported that a car explosion occurred outside a metro station on November 10, 2025, resulting in 10 fatalities. While some downplayed the incident, the United Nations Security Council has confirmed Al-Qaeda’s involvement, with Dr. Umar Al Nabi playing a significant role. Singh emphasized that both Al-Qaeda and Gazwa-e-Hind are key players in this matter.
He further elaborated that the issue extends beyond the explosion. These individuals have attempted to utilize advanced technology, cryptocurrency for transactions, and even create a lethal poison. Dr. Ahmed Mohiyuddin Syed, who studied medicine in China, was also highlighted for his crucial involvement. Singh warned that Al-Qaeda is preparing for chemical warfare.
Singh expressed satisfaction with the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) effective actions in the case, noting that a chargesheet has been filed against 10 individuals. However, he cautioned that such individuals are proliferating like a contagion. He argued that if they cannot be loyal citizens, they should not receive any benefits from the country, advocating for the revocation of their citizenship. He called for life imprisonment or even harsher penalties, along with the dismantling of their entire support system.
Additionally, Singh addressed the issue of a mobile phone found with prisoner Prajwal Revanna, which contained over 90 obscene videos. He described this as a concerning matter, attributing it to administrative negligence. He stressed that the jail administration must establish a robust security framework and take corrective actions against corrupt officials. Singh pointed out that previously, powerful criminals in Uttar Pradesh’s jails exploited the system to expand their criminal empires. He cited Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who allegedly amassed millions while incarcerated in Tihar Jail, as a prime example of corruption enabling such activities. He warned that without action against these individuals, the cycle of corruption will persist.
