Patna, August 13: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary presented appointment letters to 2,027 successful candidates of the 70th Combined Competitive Examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Thursday at Bapu Sabhagar. During the event, the Chief Minister congratulated the newly appointed officials, calling it a historic moment in their lives. He noted that distributing such a large number of appointment letters simultaneously sets a new record.
CM Chaudhary emphasized that public service is not merely a government job but a means of serving the people and promoting their welfare. He stated that the work of the newly appointed officials would pave the way for the progress of individuals in society. The more honesty, dedication, and sensitivity the officials demonstrate, the faster Bihar will develop. He highlighted the need for collective efforts from all sections of society and citizens to build a developed India and a prosperous Bihar. The role of youth in Bihar’s development is crucial, and the newly appointed officials will be key participants in this journey.
He mentioned that between 2020 and 2025, 1.2 million government jobs and 5 million employment opportunities have been created. The goal is to provide jobs and employment to 10 million youths from 2025 to 2030. The government is continuously working to create more job and self-employment opportunities for the youth. The budget of Bihar has increased to ₹3.47 lakh crore. To accelerate urban development, 12 new townships will be developed in the state, attracting significant investment. The government plans to adopt a PPP model in various sectors to boost comprehensive development in the state.
CM Chaudhary also stated that special priority is being given to industrialization in the state. Bihar aims to become a steel hub while also focusing on sectors like semiconductors, nuclear energy, and food processing. Investments in these areas will create new job opportunities and strengthen the state’s economy. He noted that improved roads and infrastructure are benefiting the common people, making it possible to travel from Patna to Bodh Gaya in about one and a half hours.
The Chief Minister urged the newly appointed officials to fulfill their responsibilities with utmost integrity and dedication. He mentioned that through the ‘Cooperation Program,’ complaints from the public will be addressed within a stipulated timeframe of 30 days. The primary objective of every individual entering government service should be to serve the public, earn their trust, and work continuously for the progress of Bihar.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, several state ministers, senior officials, public representatives, successful candidates, and their families.
