RLD Leader Aishwarya Raj Singh Promises Full Majority for NDA in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, August 13: Aishwarya Raj Singh, the newly appointed president of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Uttar Pradesh, visited Lucknow on Thursday. He emphasized the party’s commitment to playing a significant role within the NDA coalition.

Upon his arrival in the capital, Singh received a grand welcome accompanied by traditional drums and music. A large number of party workers attended the reception. Later, he paid homage at the Gandhi statue by offering flowers.

In an interview with a news agency, Singh stated, “We are a party based on the ideology of Chaudhary Charan Singh. We carry forward the struggles of Chaudhary Ajit Singh and the youthful leadership of Chaudhary Jayant Singh. In the coming times, we aim to connect not only with farmers but also with youth and women, ensuring inclusivity across all sections. Our goal is to play a crucial role within the NDA coalition and bring the NDA government back to full majority in Uttar Pradesh.”

Singh criticized the opposition, saying, “The opposition is completely devoid of issues. Regarding the PDA, they keep changing their definitions. Their understanding of the PDA has shifted multiple times, and they seem unsure of their direction. What can I comment on that?”

He further asserted that the opposition lacks substance. Drawing parallels with the NDA’s success in West Bengal, he expressed confidence that under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the NDA coalition would secure a full majority in Uttar Pradesh.

It is noteworthy that the RLD is currently focused on strengthening its organization ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. The party is allied with the BJP and won 8 seats in the 2022 Assembly elections.
