Lucknow, August 12: Uttar Pradesh Minister Jayveer Singh has described the ‘Every Home a Flag’ campaign as a movement rooted in patriotism and a tribute to martyrs. He emphasized that the tricolor represents the pride and honor of the nation. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by revolutionaries and brave souls who embraced the gallows for the country’s freedom.
In a recent conversation, Singh stated that August 15 is a day to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. It is also an opportunity to honor the Constitution, freedom, and the nation. He supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for citizens to hoist the tricolor at their homes, urging every patriotic individual to participate.
Regarding the FCRA bill, Singh highlighted the need for effective control over anti-national activities funded by foreign sources, including religious conversions and societal discord. He stressed the necessity of stringent measures to prevent the misuse of foreign funds for such activities.
On the issue of student protests in Ranchi, Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi, asserting that the concerns of students should be addressed without political bias. He accused the opposition of seeking cheap popularity instead of engaging in meaningful discussions on pressing issues, claiming that the public is aware and will not forgive such behavior.
Meanwhile, Minister Danish Ansari commented on the ‘Every Home a Flag’ campaign and Modi’s appeal, stating that the essence of the Prime Minister’s message is to give back to the nation that has provided so much. He noted that India’s nature, land, and environment have offered numerous opportunities for progress, and the contributions of soldiers and martyrs to the country’s freedom must never be forgotten.
Ansari mentioned that the Prime Minister’s appeal is receiving widespread support across the country. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, many in Uttar Pradesh are joining this initiative. He highlighted the participation of both youth and women, noting that the ‘Every Home a Flag’ campaign is weaving the nation together in unity.
Danish Ansari described the student protests in Jharkhand and the opposition’s response as unfortunate. He criticized opposition leaders who speak about youth issues in Delhi but remain silent on the alleged police action against students in Ranchi.
He urged Rahul Gandhi to listen to the students’ concerns in Ranchi if he genuinely cares about their welfare, accusing Congress of prioritizing political interests over serious discussions on student issues.
