Every Citizen Must Fulfill Their Duty to the Nation: Babulal Marandi

Dhansar, May 12: In a recent statement, Babulal Marandi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Jharkhand Assembly, expressed support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks made in Hyderabad. He countered criticisms from the opposition, emphasizing that every citizen has a duty to their nation.

During a media interaction, senior BJP leader Babulal Marandi stated, “As citizens of this country, we have responsibilities towards our nation. We are witnessing various issues arising globally due to wars. Many countries are facing crises, but Prime Minister Modi has ensured that these challenges do not reach India. Despite this, he has urged citizens to cut down on expenses in various ways. We are also considering this. People can opt for electric vehicles. Additionally, we should travel less and utilize public transport as much as possible.”

Meanwhile, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth remarked that India is continuously reaching new heights of progress, but we also face numerous challenges that we must overcome together. PM Modi has made seven humble requests to the citizens, which we should ensure to follow in our daily lives as responsible citizens.

On the other hand, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav raised questions regarding PM Modi’s appeal. Rahul Gandhi stated that responsibility is often placed on the public.

In response to the opposition’s statements, UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak remarked, “Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav need to understand that their mindset has become negative, even on issues of national interest. PM Modi has made a humble request to citizens to limit resource usage for a while for the nation’s benefit, but the political frustration and despair of these two leaders have surfaced, leading to nonsensical statements.”

PM Modi has urged citizens to avoid purchasing gold for a year, reduce petrol and diesel consumption by using the metro, send parcels via rail, and minimize car usage. He also advised reducing the use of cooking oil, halving the use of chemical fertilizers, and moving towards natural farming. Furthermore, he encouraged minimizing the use of foreign branded products, embracing indigenous options, and limiting foreign travel for a year. As much as possible, he suggested conducting virtual meetings at the office and prioritizing work from home.
