Haryana Government Accused of Selling Jobs, Claims Bhupinder Hooda

Rohtak, June 23: Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda has accused the state’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of selling jobs “just like items in a grocery store.”

He claimed that a viral call recording linked to the BJP president in Kurukshetra revealed that the government is openly selling everything, from contract jobs under the “Skill Corporation” to permanent recruitment posts.

Hooda stated, “The Congress party has raised this issue both on the streets and in the assembly, presenting all facts and evidence formally to the government. However, the Haryana government, engrossed in the arrogance of power, continues to sell jobs.”

He further mentioned that the NEET exam was re-conducted, yet questions arose after two doctors were arrested for allegedly plotting a paper leak in Rohtak.

Hooda alleged that there have been consistent irregularities in the recruitment processes of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) and the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC).

The opposition leader criticized the government for not providing compensation to shopkeepers affected by a recent arson incident in Rohtak. He remarked, “This is extremely unfortunate. Moreover, shopkeepers have been prevented from rebuilding.”

He expressed that the public’s trust in law and order has eroded. Hooda pointed out, “Incidents like the firing at the Congress state president’s house and the attack on MLA Balram Dangi’s office clearly indicate that law and order in the state has completely deteriorated. Today, everyone from traders and businessmen to politicians and doctors is facing threats, extortion, and gunfire.”

Citing the central government’s Social Progress Index, he noted that Haryana remains the most unsafe state with a score of 33.

He also referenced the India Justice Report, which shows that Haryana Police’s ranking has dropped from eighth to fourteenth over the past five years.

In the Happiness Index, Haryana ranked sixteenth nationwide. According to a report from the Ministry of Rural Development, the state stood at eleventh place in terms of performance.
