YSRCP Demands Apology from Pawan Kalyan for Comments Against Kapu Community

Amaravati, June 23: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has called for an immediate apology from Andhra Pradesh‘s Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for making derogatory remarks against the Kapu community.

Leaders from the YSRCP, associated with the Kapu community, have criticized Pawan Kalyan, accusing him of making offensive comments about the community and its leaders.

Speaking to the media at the party office in Kakinada, former minister Kurasala Kannababu, along with former MP Wanga Geeta and YSRCP assembly coordinators from the Kakinada parliamentary constituency, stated that Pawan Kalyan has become a pawn in Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s distracting politics. They claimed he is being used to divert public attention from serious issues facing the state.

The leaders pointed out that the coalition government has failed to address allegations related to custodial deaths, missing bodies, deteriorating law and order, and irregularities in the police security commission (DSC).

Unable to respond to these pressing issues, Chandrababu Naidu has reportedly used Pawan Kalyan to divert the debate through personal attacks and derogatory remarks against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP leaders.

They emphasized that insulting leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana, Mudragada Padmanabham, Thota Trimurthy, and Wanga Geeta is equivalent to insulting the entire Kapu community. They also questioned Pawan Kalyan’s silence regarding unfulfilled promises made to the Kapu community, including reservations, Kapu Nestham, and annual allocations for the Kapu Corporation.

The leaders warned that if personal attacks on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy continue, the YSRCP will not remain silent. They insisted that the party will continue to fight until justice is served for the Kapu community and all marginalized groups in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the Jana Sena Party has retaliated against the YSRCP leaders targeting Pawan Kalyan. Party MLA P. Ramesh Babu stated that while attacking Pawan Kalyan may attract attention, if they mention the Kapu community in their attacks, the public will politically crush them.
