Enhanced Air Connectivity from Chandigarh to Pune and Bengaluru Starting June 1

Mumbai, May 26: Air connectivity from Chandigarh to Pune and Bengaluru is set to improve significantly starting June 1. The Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport will introduce new direct flights to these major cities as part of the summer schedule, with bookings already open.

Air India Express will launch a new daily flight between Chandigarh and Pune. This flight will depart from Chandigarh Airport at 12:45 AM and arrive in Pune at 3:10 AM.

On the return leg, the flight will take off from Pune at 3:45 AM and reach Chandigarh at 6:05 AM. Notably, this will be the first regular flight operating after midnight from Chandigarh Airport under the summer schedule.

Currently, there is only one direct flight operating between Chandigarh and Pune, which is run by IndiGo Airlines, departing Chandigarh at 10:50 PM and arriving in Pune at 1:10 AM. With the introduction of the new flight, the total number of daily flights on this route will increase to two, providing travelers with more options.

Additionally, Air India Express will also commence a new direct flight service between Chandigarh and Bengaluru on June 1. This flight will leave Chandigarh at 6:40 AM and arrive at Kempegowda International Airport (Terminal-2) at 9:55 AM. The return flight will depart from Bengaluru at 9:15 PM and reach Chandigarh at 12:15 AM.

This new service is being launched in response to the growing demand from passengers traveling between Chandigarh and Bengaluru. According to officials, after the new flight begins, there will be a total of five non-stop flights available between the two cities, making travel more convenient and efficient.

Aviation experts believe that these new flights will not only save time for passengers but also boost business and educational activities. Furthermore, the enhanced connectivity will strengthen ties between the two cities, improving regional connectivity overall.
