Jhabua, July 31: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh has emphasized the ongoing efforts for women’s empowerment at both governmental and societal levels. He stated that the meaningful contributions of women are bringing prosperity to every family. While addressing a capacity-building and loan distribution program for self-help groups in Thandla, Jhabua, Yadav remarked that women are infusing new strength into these groups. Sectors like agriculture, animal husbandry, banking, and entrepreneurship are witnessing active participation from women.
Yadav highlighted that 50% of positions in urban bodies and panchayats are reserved for women in Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, 35% of positions in government services are also reserved for them. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to ensuring 33% reservation for women in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Under Modi’s leadership, Madhya Pradesh is making rapid progress, according to Yadav.
He recalled that during Modi’s tenure as the Chief Minister of neighboring Gujarat, remarkable development took place in the tribal regions surrounding Jhabua. The world became aware of Gujarat’s strength. Modi is actively working for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women.
Yadav mentioned that loans amounting to ₹300 crores have been provided to empower women associated with self-help groups. This initiative is paving the way for women’s prosperity, marking a significant movement towards self-reliance and social empowerment. Through cooperation and participation, women are setting new records of achievement.
