New Delhi, April 15: The political atmosphere has intensified following the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) raids on properties linked to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal and his family. AAP leaders are labeling this as a conspiracy orchestrated by the BJP. They allege that the BJP has begun preparations for the Punjab elections, targeting Ashok Mittal in the process.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, took to social media platform X, stating, “Whenever elections are held in a state, Modi sends his election army, starting with the ED and CBI… The drama of raids unfolds… followed by forces that incite riots… and then visits from Amit Shah and Modi. PM Modi, remember, this is Punjab. Those who harbor hatred for Babasaheb and Bhagat Singh will not succeed here.”
AAP leader Sanjay Singh also posted on X, asserting, “Wherever elections take place, the BJP sends its agencies first. The ED raid at the residence of AAP’s Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha, Ashok Mittal, is just the beginning ahead of the Punjab elections. This strategy will yield no benefits; the BJP will face a severe defeat in Punjab.”
Meanwhile, Anurag Dhanda, AAP’s National Media In-Charge, expressed on X, “The BJP has started its preparations for the Punjab elections. The ED is currently conducting raids at the residence of AAP Rajya Sabha MP and Deputy Leader in the House, Ashok Mittal. Can the BJP not contest elections on its own? Is the BJP so ineffective among the public that all its election preparations begin with actions from the ED and CBI? The Modi government is operating like a dictatorship. The people of Punjab stand with the Aam Aadmi Party. Keep going, ED and CBI, for the BJP.”
