Deoria, June 17: Political activity is heating up ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2027. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav regarding alleged irregularities in donations for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He stated that the DNA of the Samajwadi Party is solely focused on appeasement, indicating they are incapable of thinking beyond that.
During a media interaction in Deoria, Pathak emphasized that the SP’s politics revolves around Muslim appeasement. He claimed that while they present a certain image to the public, their actions tell a different story. “The public no longer trusts them; the SP is a party of Maulanas,” he remarked.
Pathak urged Akhilesh Yadav and others raising questions to remember that an SIT investigation is already underway regarding the Ram Temple donation controversy. A committee has been formed, and actions will be taken based on the SIT’s report. He questioned why there are no inquiries into where the funds for building the Babri Masjid went, suggesting that such statements are merely tactics for appeasement and vote-bank politics. “The people of the state know well that these individuals have fired upon Ram devotees,” he added.
At an event in Deoria marking Prime Minister Modi’s 12 years in office, Pathak praised the Prime Minister for focusing on public welfare and boosting the economy. He noted that BJP workers across the country are committed to disseminating Modi’s policies and welfare schemes to every citizen.
Additionally, Minister Anil Rajbhar mocked Akhilesh Yadav’s press conference, stating that the SP leader has not moved beyond a “Saifai mentality.” He criticized Yadav for lecturing on education and health, recalling a time when students were forced to study on the ground while buffaloes roamed in schools.
“Our government is continuously working in the education sector. Recently, over seven lakh children who were previously out of the mainstream have been enrolled in schools,” he stated.
Rajbhar also mentioned that the government has instilled confidence among the poor and is realizing the ‘One District, One Medical College’ initiative. He expressed that PM Modi’s government has generously supported these efforts. “However, those who cannot move beyond a Saifai mindset will struggle to see the good,” he concluded.
Regarding the SP’s Brahmin conference, Rajbhar said they can do what they wish, but it will yield no benefits. “Our intellectual class knows that only the Yogi government can make UP a better state,” he asserted.
