Lucknow, July 24: Ajay Rai, the President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, has criticized the central government over the NEET paper leak issue. He has called for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging that the government is suppressing children’s voices.
Speaking to a news agency, Rai stated, “This is extremely unfortunate. To divert attention from issues of fund misuse and donation theft, they are completely silencing the voices of children. They are beating them and humiliating them.”
He further expressed his concern, saying, “I witnessed how a girl was attacked with sticks on her private parts; this is truly regrettable. The government must ensure Dharmendra Pradhan’s immediate resignation and dismissal.”
Rai emphasized that students are the future of India. He questioned, “If they are traitors, then who is left? Does this mean only BJP and RSS members are patriots while the entire nation is treasonous?”
Regarding the announcement of a fast-track court, Rai remarked, “First, the government should take action against those who are beating children, and such police officers should be dismissed. Dharmendra Pradhan must resign immediately.”
On the appointment of a CEO for the Ram Temple Trust and the inclusion of five saints in the trust, Rai stated, “I would like to say that work related to the Ram Janmabhoomi should be done through saints. The saint community, along with respected Shankaracharyas, should be involved. Political leaders should not be included, and RSS members should be completely kept away from this.”
During Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati’s visit to Lucknow, Rai mentioned, “We have met with the Shankaracharya. He is on a mission and has traveled across the state. He has traveled throughout the state to advocate for the cow to be declared ‘Rashtra Mata.’ His concluding program in Lucknow was not permitted.”
