New Delhi, August 9: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Sunday that the state government is preparing the national capital’s justice system for the future by integrating new talent and modern judicial infrastructure.
During a competition at the National Law University in Delhi, CM Gupta engaged with young participants. She later shared on the social media platform ‘X’ that she had a discussion with youth at the closing ceremony of the first ‘National Trial Advocacy Competition’ organized in collaboration with ‘Think India’. She emphasized that India’s judicial tradition has always prioritized reason, upheld the sanctity of the Constitution, and placed justice at the highest pedestal.
Gupta further stated that the combination of new talent and modern judicial infrastructure will strengthen this legacy. The Delhi government is committed to preparing the justice system for the future with this vision. She congratulated all participants and winners, wishing them a bright future.
Earlier on Sunday, CM Gupta participated in the Teej festival at Delhi Haat in Pitampura, sharing the joy of the festival with women and extending her greetings on the occasion.
She remarked that Hariyali Teej is not just a festival, but a celebration of faith, love, nature, and women’s empowerment. Amid the greenery of the monsoon and the colors of the festivals, this occasion serves as a reminder of the sacred love story between Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.
Gupta noted that such festivals not only keep cultural traditions alive but also strengthen the spirit of love, harmony, and unity in society.
The Chief Minister stated that the Delhi government is continuously working to promote cultural platforms in the national capital, where folk traditions and arts can reach the younger generation, while also providing artists and craftsmen an opportunity to showcase their talents.
The two-day Teej Festival, organized by the Delhi Tourism Department on August 8 and 9 at Delhi Haat in Pitampura, featured competitions for women, including henna, bindi, rangoli, ‘Teej Queen-Miss Teej 2026’, and ‘Best Dressed Female’.
