New Delhi, June 27: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested two members of the Goldie Dhillon gang, which operates internationally. The police seized weapons, mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the suspects.
An official statement revealed that a specialized team from the Anti-Robbery and Snatching Cell of the Crime Branch apprehended key associates of the notorious gangster Goldie Dhillon.
The arrested individuals have been identified as 28-year-old Jatin Bhardwaj (alias Nannu) and Sukhwinder Singh (alias Bagga), both hailing from Rajpura, Punjab.
Investigators indicated that for the past few months, the Crime Branch’s ARSC team has been actively working on cases involving gangsters operating from abroad who were making extortion calls.
Following reports of calls and claims of responsibility on social media, the team conducted extensive technical surveillance and field verification.
During this verification, several suspects were identified and investigated, many of whom had a history of criminal cases. According to officials, these individuals were providing logistical support to gangsters abroad and executing criminal activities at their behest.
Investigators discovered that some suspects were in contact with foreign gangsters through advanced communication apps like Jangi and Signal.
On June 24, specific information about Jatin (alias Nannu) indicated he would be in the Rohini area of the capital. Acting swiftly on this intelligence, a trap was laid based on a tip-off from a confidential informant.
Around 10:50 PM, the suspect was apprehended and identified as Jatin. A semi-automatic pistol and four live cartridges were recovered from him.
Legal action was initiated, and he was arrested under Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act at the Crime Branch police station.
Subsequently, Sukhwinder Singh (alias Bagga) was also arrested, with the source of the seized weapons traced back to him. Following his lead, a country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered. Jatin Bhardwaj is reportedly a drug addict and worked for gangster Goldie Dhillon and his associate Sukhwinder Singh. He has been implicated in 14 cases, including theft, burglary, and violations of the Arms Act and NDPS Act, between 2014 and 2025, with multiple cases registered against him in Punjab and Haryana.
The second arrested suspect, Sukhwinder Singh, is also a drug addict and a childhood friend of Goldie Dhillon. He allegedly provided logistical support and hideouts for gang members at Dhillon’s request.
The investigation revealed that Sukhwinder had deliberately established dominance and control over his criminal network in the area. He intimidated rival drug suppliers to eliminate competition. He has been linked to seven cases, including theft and violations of the Arms Act and NDPS Act, between 2016 and 2025, with cases registered against him in Punjab.
With these arrests, investigators have recovered a semi-automatic pistol (.32 bore), a country-made pistol, six live cartridges, a motorcycle, and four mobile phones.
Recently, Goldie Dhillon’s name emerged during the investigation of a murder case involving a medical store manager in Chandigarh, highlighting his alleged ongoing involvement in serious crimes.
