
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has described the Union Budget 2026 as a vision for a Developed India by 2047. She said the budget reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dreams and takes a significant step forward in that direction.
Speaking to journalists, Rekha Gupta expressed her happiness with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s presentation of the budget. She said, “This budget touches every section of society and encourages exploring new dimensions in business. The way it addresses different segments separately is commendable.”
The Chief Minister highlighted the budget’s strong focus on creating employment opportunities for youth and preserving India’s cultural heritage by developing it into a vibrant tourism industry, calling these measures highly impressive.
Rekha Gupta described the construction of the Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor as a historic step accelerating the resolve for a developed India. She said, “This is not just a rail project but a powerful symbol of speed, progress, and public trust. It will enhance Delhi’s connectivity to new levels, energise tourism, generate large-scale employment for youth, and provide a strong foundation for ease of doing business.”
She added that with modern infrastructure, Delhi will become an even stronger hub of national development. The Developed India budget, she explained, is inspired by youth power and based on three key duties. First, accelerating economic growth through strengthened investment, industry, and job creation to ensure sustainable and inclusive development.
Second, meeting public expectations by enhancing facilities and opportunities that make everyday life simpler, safer, and better for common citizens. Third, promoting inclusive development to ensure benefits reach all sections of society. She emphasised that this budget is not only a solution for today’s needs but also lays a strong foundation for a self-reliant, empowered, and developed India.
Meanwhile, in Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary watched the budget presentation alongside BJP state organisation head Bhiku Bhai Dalsania at the Bihar BJP office. Speaking to the media, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for outlining their vision of India 2047 and the three duties guiding it. He noted the announcements related to high-speed rail, infrastructure, fisheries, and waterways projects.
Chaudhary also appreciated the focus on medical infrastructure and hospital establishment discussed by the Finance Minister. He congratulated and thanked the Prime Minister and Finance Minister for laying the foundation of a Developed India.
