Lucknow, March 14: The written examination for direct recruitment to the positions of Sub-Inspector (Daroga) and equivalent roles in Uttar Pradesh has commenced. This exam is being conducted across 75 districts on March 14 and 15. In response, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has issued a statement.
Pathak expressed strong objections on social media platform ‘X’ regarding a question included in the UP Police recruitment exam. He emphasized that any question that undermines the dignity of any community or class is completely unacceptable.
He stated, “I want to make it clear that derogatory terms against any caste, community, or tradition should have no place in our society.” Immediate investigation into the matter has been ordered, and strict action will be taken against those responsible. The Uttar Pradesh government operates on principles of respect, equality, and sensitivity towards all communities. The dignity of every citizen in the state is our top priority.
According to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), the recruitment exam is being held in two shifts each day. The first shift runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, while the second shift is scheduled from 3 PM to 5 PM. The board has also issued essential guidelines for candidates, advising them to arrive at the exam centers well in advance.
Strict security measures have been implemented at the exam centers, with all locations under surveillance via CCTV cameras. Additionally, administrative and police forces have been deployed to ensure the examination proceeds smoothly. Police personnel have been stationed at key intersections throughout the city to prevent any inconvenience to candidates.
