New Delhi, June 24: Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera has labeled the land dispute in Ujjain and the Ayodhya fund embezzlement controversy as an international issue. He accused the BJP’s chief ministers of exploiting land and misappropriating donations of silver and gold. In the language of the RSS, he stated that Ayodhya and Ujjain are just the beginning, with Mathura and Kashi next in line for exploitation due to upcoming corridor developments.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Khera emphasized, “This matter is not just local or national; it is international. People’s faith is tied to these cities. They save money and make sacrifices to visit these pilgrimage sites, where they donate with devotion. To loot and steal these funds is a betrayal of their faith. This has happened in Ayodhya.”
Khera also pointed out that the Ayodhya temple is directly overseen by the RSS. He noted the current situation in Ayodhya and Ujjain, which is under the governance of the RSS in Madhya Pradesh.
In relation to the Ujjain land dispute, Khera accused Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. He stated, “The Simhastha Kumbh is approaching. As the chief minister, you are aware of everything, and all files pass through your desk. You have the power to influence maps and master plans. You have misused that power.”
He further claimed, “Land has been looted in a familial context. Your family has purchased hundreds of acres of land before and after your tenure as chief minister. After taking office, 111 acres out of 168 acres were bought in the area where the Simhastha Kumbh will take place. You had the information and facilitated these purchases through your family. There are 18 acres in Pandiyakhari. In Ujjain, where work is set to begin on the 2035 master plan, your family has acquired land.”
Khera expressed skepticism about Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking action in this matter, suggesting that while Modi enjoys melodies abroad, his chief ministers are devouring land and donations.
Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari also attended the press conference. He stated, “Since Mohan Yadav became chief minister, he has purchased hundreds of acres of land. The Congress party has publicly questioned the BJP, its president, the state unit, and Mohan Yadav about this. It has been 30 hours since we asked these questions, but we have yet to receive a response. If the BJP remains silent, it indicates something is amiss.”
He concluded by asserting that the entire BJP apparatus is linked to this corruption. “The embezzlement of donations in Ayodhya and the land grab in Mahakal is the BJP’s new model,” he added.
