Lucknow, June 24: Om Prakash Rajbhar, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government and leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, has launched a sharp attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, he made serious allegations against Yadav concerning land investments and expressway projects in Madhya Pradesh.
Rajbhar questioned why Akhilesh Yadav is creating such a stir over issues related to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, suggesting that there may be something he is trying to hide. He claimed that Yadav’s anger and unease stem from the alleged investments made in Madhya Pradesh.
Rajbhar alleged that Bharat Yadav, an IAS officer from the Madhya Pradesh cadre and chairman of the State Road Development Corporation, is connected to the family of Chandrapal Yadav, a former treasurer and senior leader of the Samajwadi Party. According to Rajbhar, Bharat Yadav is the son-in-law of Chandrapal Yadav, and Akhilesh Yadav is not publicly disclosing this relationship.
In his post, he asserted that Bharat Yadav is well-informed about the routes of highway and road projects in Madhya Pradesh. Rajbhar alleged that this knowledge is the reason behind the investments in land there, and he suggested that Akhilesh Yadav is worried about the interests of those involved in this matter being compromised.
Rajbhar also claimed that the Saifai family has a long history of involvement in land-related issues. He accused them of purchasing large tracts of land during the construction of the Lucknow-Agra expressway, only to later change the route arbitrarily.
He further alleged that the expressway’s path was diverted towards Saifai for private gain, increasing the distance by nearly 30 kilometers. Rajbhar contended that land was initially acquired at lower prices, followed by substantial compensation received later.
In his post, Rajbhar mentioned that following the report on the Gomti River Front project, Akhilesh Yadav fears that a report on any expressway project related to Madhya Pradesh might also become public, potentially affecting the alleged investments.
Rajbhar has called for investigative agencies to uncover which influential and white-collar individuals from Uttar Pradesh are involved in investments in Madhya Pradesh.
As of now, there has been no official response from Akhilesh Yadav or the Samajwadi Party regarding these allegations.
