Mumbai, June 5: Congress leader Hussain Dalwai has responded to the alleged religious conversion case at Wipro, questioning why there was no controversy when the woman was employed there. He suggested that the sudden objections indicate that someone is provoking the situation.
Dalwai stated in an interview, “Why were there no issues when she was working there? Why are objections being raised now? This implies that someone is instigating them. Questions about Hindu-Muslim relations, such as who should associate with whom or who should marry whom, are private matters.”
It is noteworthy that after the TCS Nashik incident, a case of religious conversion has emerged from Wipro’s Pune facility. A woman working there has alleged that her former boss harassed her on religious grounds. The victim claims she was subjected to continuous mental pressure to convert to Islam, which ultimately forced her to resign.
Pune police and the state human rights commission have registered a complaint and initiated an investigation. Meanwhile, Wipro has stated that it is fully cooperating with the police by providing all necessary documents.
The woman has filed a complaint with the police and has also reached out to the state human rights body against her former boss, who resides in Bengaluru.
Regarding the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, Dalwai emphasized that it is a collective leadership. He remarked, “Rahul’s party is present throughout the country. In terms of power, there are now more states where Congress or Congress-led alliances are in government. Congress is widespread across the nation.”
In response to claims that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is weak, Dalwai firmly stated that Mamata has not weakened; rather, the BJP has become weaker, which is why they are attempting to divide opposition parties.
