
Lucknow, June 14: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences following casualties caused by rain and lightning in several districts on Saturday.
CM Yogi gathered information regarding the incidents that resulted in loss of life and livestock. He extended his sympathies to the grieving families of the deceased. The Chief Minister instructed officials to assess the damages and ensure compensation for affected families within 24 hours. He urged them to inform the government of any needs immediately.
On Saturday, districts including Kasganj, Chandauli, Mirzapur, and Barabanki experienced casualties due to rain and lightning strikes. Upon learning of the situation, the Chief Minister directed senior administration officials to communicate with the affected families and provide all possible assistance.
He emphasized the importance of senior officials remaining in the field to engage with the public and support the victims during adverse weather conditions, including storms and hail.
CM Yogi also inquired about the injured individuals. He instructed the commissioners of disaster-affected divisions, district magistrates, and chief medical officers to ensure proper treatment for the injured, providing timely access to medications and healthcare services. The Chief Minister wished for the swift recovery of the injured.
He appealed to the public to take special precautions during inclement weather. He advised against standing near hoardings, glow signs, and electrical wires during storms, and urged people to pay close attention to children, the elderly, and livestock.
