Prime Minister Modi Celebrates National Pride Through Surya Path Tiranga Initiative

New Delhi, August 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 137th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat.’

During the program, he highlighted the vibrant spirit of patriotism that envelops the country in August. “This month, we witness various shades of nationalism. The love for our nation intensifies in everyone’s heart,” he stated. He noted significant events such as National Handloom Day, the anniversary of the Quit India Movement, and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, which make this time special. Independence Day and National Space Day fill every citizen with pride, and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign further strengthens this sentiment.

PM Modi emphasized that this year is particularly significant as it marks the 150th anniversary of ‘Vande Mataram.’ Over 8 million selfies with the national flag have been uploaded this year. The celebration of the Tiranga has transcended India, embarking on a unique journey worldwide through the Surya Path Tiranga initiative. The flag was hoisted in Suva, Fiji, at sunrise, followed by ceremonies at Indian missions across Asia, Africa, Europe, and San Francisco in the United States. “What a magnificent sight that must have been,” he remarked.

As the sun moved across the globe, the Indian flag waved proudly, symbolizing unity and deepening our connection with the country. He congratulated everyone involved in these efforts.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the daily contributions of countless women on the streets of our cities and towns. They engage in various trades, from selling vegetables and fruits to running tea stalls and selling flowers and religious items. Often, a lack of capital hinders their businesses from thriving.

PM Modi’s message resonates with the spirit of self-reliance and national pride, urging citizens to support local products and initiatives.
