Chirag Paswan Files Complaint Against Influencer for Misusing His Name

Patna, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Central Minister and National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, announced on Friday that influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj misused his name in a viral video. Paswan has filed an official complaint against Bhardwaj and pledged to seek justice for the minor student, Nishu Azad, and her family.

The controversy centers around a video in which Bhardwaj claimed to have assaulted Azad’s father during a recent protest at Jantar Mantar. He also alleged that the Delhi Police had not taken action against him due to his political connections.

Speaking to reporters in Patna, Paswan described the incident as extremely serious. “A person openly admits to having beaten someone so severely that it could have resulted in death. If no action is taken after such a confession, it sets a terrible precedent for our society,” he stated.

Paswan pointed out that Bhardwaj had also misused the names of several other leaders. “Given the gravity of the situation, I have lodged an official complaint and demanded an impartial investigation by the Delhi Police,” he added.

He emphasized that while it is common for politicians to meet people, it does not imply that every acquaintance is a close associate. “It is incorrect to say that Swatantra Bhardwaj knows me personally. Using my name in this manner is completely wrong,” Paswan declared.

The LJP (Ram Vilas) leader affirmed that his party stands firmly with Nishu Azad and her family. “We take it upon ourselves to ensure that the victim’s family receives justice. It has been alleged that the accused has not faced consequences due to my or other leaders’ support. We will now ensure that the truth comes to light and that the accused, who mocks the law, receives strict punishment,” he stated.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had assured that Bhardwaj would be arrested within 72 hours under various charges, including those related to the POCSO Act, SC/ST Act, and attempted murder, following the protest outside the Parliament Street police station.
