Chinmayi Sripada Praises Arijit Singh as ‘Wonderful Person’ Amid Playback Singing Retirement

Mumbai: The music industry was taken by surprise following playback singer Arijit Singh’s sudden announcement to retire from playback singing. Fans and fellow artists alike have expressed their reactions to this unexpected decision. Among them, singer Chinmayi Sripada shared her heartfelt thoughts, describing Arijit not only as an excellent musician but also as a remarkable human being.

Chinmayi spoke about her experiences working with Arijit, highlighting his humility and the consistency in his character despite his immense success. She emphasized that his nature remained unchanged over time.

On the social media platform X, Chinmayi recalled, “I remember meeting Arijit when he recorded for Pritam sir and before the release of ‘Tum Hi Ho’. Even after he became one of the most sought-after singers, I collaborated with him several times, and nothing about him changed.”

She further added, “He is one of my favourite musicians and singers, and among the most spiritually evolved people I have met. I always felt he works with a higher purpose. Whatever plans he has made as a musician, they are nothing short of divine.”

Chinmayi and Arijit have worked together on several songs, including ‘Mast Magan’ from ‘2 States’ and ‘Suiyaan Si’ from ‘Guddu Rangeela’, among others.

Arijit Singh’s announcement on social media stated that he will no longer take on any new playback assignments, leaving fans and film industry members surprised by his decision.
