RJD MP Criticizes Government Over Gas Shortage Crisis

New Delhi, April 4: Manoj Jha, a Rajya Sabha MP from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has targeted the central government regarding the ongoing gas shortage in the country. He stated that the government must acknowledge the gas crisis and avoid using terms that suggest it is merely a rumor, as this only exacerbates the situation.

In an interview with a news agency, Jha remarked, “The ruling party claims that rumors are being spread about gas shortages, but this theory is completely incorrect. The government had previously asserted during the COVID pandemic that there was no shortage of oxygen in the country. To this day, it has failed to provide accurate figures regarding deaths. The BJP government has now become an ineffective administration.”

He further added, “When things cannot be managed, the government claims that rumors are being spread. But what will the government do for those who wait in line all night for gas cylinders? This is not just my assertion; images are circulating in the media.”

Regarding the Election Commission’s officials campaigning for TMC in West Bengal, Jha stated, “I am not aware of the facts in this case. However, if the Election Commission were alert in Bihar, the entire bureaucracy would have been suspended. It no longer seems like there is an Election Commission. Over the past few years, the operational style has shifted, and it appears that the entire office is now moving to the BJP office.”

On the recent deaths of four individuals due to toxic alcohol in Motihari, Bihar, Jha commented, “There is no prohibition on alcohol in Bihar. A complete smuggling ring is operating. Now, it is unclear whom to question in Bihar. This is because the Chief Minister himself is caught in the middle. However, questions will arise regarding the deaths from toxic alcohol.”
