
Beijing, February 19: Chinese scientists have recently made a significant advancement in optical communication and 6G technology. They have become the first in the world to achieve cross-network integration between fiber optic and wireless communication systems.
Their self-developed “Fiber-Wireless Integrated Converged Communication System” has set a new record for data transmission rates. This achievement was published online in Nature on the morning of February 19.
According to the paper, Wang Xingchun, Vice Dean of the School of Electronic Engineering at Peking University, stated that this system supports dual-mode transmission for both fiber optic and wireless communication. This capability greatly enhances its anti-interference performance.
