Chiefs Unite Against Child Labor on World Day Against Child Labor

New Delhi, June 12: On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labor, Chief Ministers and ministers from various states expressed their concerns regarding child labor. They pledged to eliminate this issue and ensure education, safety, and a dignified childhood for every child. Through a post on the social media platform X, they emphasized the need for societal awareness and collective efforts.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma stated on X, “On World Day Against Child Labor, let us all pledge to create a child labor-free society. Every child has the right to education, safety, and a better future. It is our shared responsibility to promote awareness and collective efforts to eradicate social evils like child labor.”

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini remarked, “Child labor is a serious challenge for society, adversely affecting children’s dreams, education, and childhood. It deprives them of their rights and burdens them with responsibilities at a young age. On this World Day Against Child Labor, let us unite to create a child labor-free society and ensure every child’s right to education, safety, and a bright future.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized, “Every child has the right to hold a book, dream big, and live in a safe environment. This is our duty. On World Day Against Child Labor, let us commit to protecting children’s rights and providing them with an educated and respectful environment.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya added, “Where childhood is safe, the future will be prosperous. Children are the future of the nation. Their place is in schools, playgrounds, and moral education, not under the burden of labor. It is our collective responsibility to ensure every child receives education, values, and the opportunity to realize their dreams. Each section of society must raise awareness about child labor and convey the importance of education to underprivileged families.”

Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth stated, “On World Day Against Child Labor, let us pledge to create a society where no child’s childhood is sacrificed for labor. Child labor is not just a legal crime but a significant blow to human emotions. Let us fulfill our duty as aware citizens, oppose child labor around us, and contribute to ensuring every child’s right to education, safety, and a life of freedom.”

Bihar Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha concluded, “On World Day Against Child Labor, let us pledge that we will not allow any child around us to be forced into labor. Every child has the right to education, safety, and a dignified childhood. Let us become aware and take meaningful steps towards making our families, society, and nation free from child labor. Children should hold books, not tools; their dreams should soar, not be shackled by necessity.”
