Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar Offers Prayers at Tirumala Temple

Tirumala, May 10: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar visited the Tirumala Temple on Sunday, where he offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy alongside his family. This visit comes in the wake of successful assembly elections held in five states.

Following the peaceful conduct of elections in West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu, Gyanesh Kumar sought blessings at the temple in Andhra Pradesh.

Previously, on March 9, he had performed rituals at the Kalighat Temple, extending greetings to the people of West Bengal. He expressed hopes for the safety and health of all, stating, “Jai Bharat, Jai Hind.” During that visit, he reaffirmed the Election Commission’s commitment to ensuring free and fair elections in the state.

Kumar mentioned that prayers were offered at Dakshineswar, seeking divine blessings for conducting violence-free elections in West Bengal. On March 10, he visited Belur Math, reiterating the Commission’s dedication to conducting elections without any pressure or violence.

Speaking to reporters, he emphasized that the Election Commission aims to assure all voters in West Bengal of their commitment to a peaceful electoral process.
