Raipur, August 16: On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai visited Lok Bhawan for a courtesy meeting with Governor Ramen Deka. During this meeting, the Chief Minister extended his Independence Day greetings, and the Governor reciprocated with wishes for the state’s prosperity and continuous development.
At this event, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai presented a check of ₹5 crore to Governor Ramen Deka as assistance for the victims of the devastating floods in Assam. This amount is intended to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for families affected by the floods in Assam.
Expressing deep sympathy for the loss of lives and property in Assam due to the floods, Chief Minister Sai stated that the people of Chhattisgarh stand firmly with the affected individuals during this challenging time. He emphasized that helping one another in times of crisis strengthens the spirit of unity and cooperation in the country.
It is noteworthy that Governor Ramen Deka is scheduled to visit Assam on August 16. The assistance provided by the Chief Minister will be utilized for relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected areas.
Also present at the meeting were Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and MLA Purandar Mishra.
Additionally, the Chief Minister participated in the ceremony held at Lok Bhawan on Independence Day. CM Sai shared on the social media platform X that he attended the dignified event organized by Governor Ramen Deka, alongside Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh. The occasion was filled with national pride and honor, with the presence of Union Minister Tokhan Sahu, cabinet colleagues, public representatives, and distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions in various fields.
The Chief Minister further stated that this sacred festival of Independence Day inspires all of us to contribute our best towards building a developed and self-reliant India, with the spirit of putting the nation first.
