
Raipur, May 15: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai recently returned from a visit to New Delhi, where he met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The discussions focused on achieving a Naxal-free Bastar, health initiatives, and the state’s development plans. Upon returning to Raipur, he addressed rumors regarding fuel shortages, urging residents to remain calm and not panic.
During his visit, CM Sai emphasized the importance of the ‘Chief Minister’s Healthy Bastar Campaign,’ which involves health department teams conducting door-to-door health checks. They are providing treatment and referring patients to hospitals as needed, aiming to reach a total of 3.6 million people.
He also mentioned that government documentation is being facilitated at the village panchayat level. Detailed discussions were held with the Home Minister regarding ongoing projects in the region.
Additionally, CM Sai announced that the upcoming central region meeting will take place in Bastar, involving participants from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh. The Home Minister had previously announced this meeting, marking it as a significant event for the state.
Addressing the ongoing rumors about fuel shortages, he reassured residents that there is no need for concern. The government is ensuring the supply of petrol and diesel, and any temporary issues should not cause alarm.
On social media platform ‘X,’ CM Sai confirmed that Chhattisgarh has an adequate stock of petrol and diesel. He urged residents not to worry, stating that fuel supply is consistently being managed across all oil depots in the state. The state government and oil companies are closely monitoring the situation in coordination.
He also highlighted that the Indian government has made effective preparations considering global circumstances. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to citizens to avoid unnecessary purchases and hoarding, and to disregard any rumors. CM Sai encouraged residents to demonstrate patience, awareness, and responsibility, advising them to purchase fuel only as needed and to stay away from misleading information.
