Chandigarh, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : In Chandigarh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 by initiating a ‘Service Fortnight.’ BJP leader Jatinder Pal Malhotra distributed baby care kits to mothers of newborns at the Sector 32 hospital and organized a large blood donation camp. He emphasized that Modi is nearing 25 years of public service, during which time the living standards of 250 million impoverished citizens have improved significantly, lifting many out of poverty.
Malhotra stated, “Today is the birthday of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Few individuals in Indian history have shown such dedication. He has received the highest honors from 35 countries. The changes he has brought to lives, whether through sanitation facilities or LPG connections, have uplifted 250 million people.”
At the Sector 32 hospital, baby care kits were distributed to mothers of newborns, following a similar initiative in Sector 16. The blood donation camp was also a key feature of the day’s events. Additionally, a program called “Aashirwad Ka Diya” was held at every booth, and fruit distribution events took place in various locations.
Malhotra urged that honoring PM Modi means following his example, which can lead to substantial improvements in many lives. He noted that Modi is not only India’s Prime Minister but also a global brand ambassador. “In the world today, when anything happens, PM Modi’s opinion is sought,” he added.
He remarked on the difficulty of building such a personality, highlighting the immense dedication required. The Chandigarh BJP extends its best wishes to Modi on his birthday, announcing that the service campaign will run from September 17 to October 17.
