CBSE stated that information regarding verification, re-evaluation, and other post-result services will be released separately.
This year marks the first time CBSE has implemented two board examinations for Class 10, in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The main board examination was conducted from February 17 to March 11, 2026, while the second board examination took place from May 15 to May 21, 2026. The second board exam was optional, and only students seeking to improve their scores participated.
CBSE noted that students who took both exams will have the higher score reflected on their final mark sheet. Printed mark sheets and passing certificates for regular students will be provided through their respective schools. Meanwhile, private candidates will receive their documents at their registered addresses. Candidates from the Delhi region can also collect their documents from their designated examination centers.
A total of 664,027 candidates registered for the second board examination, with 663,777 actually participating. Among them, 513,955 students appeared for improvement exams.
