Iran Warns of Aggressive Response to Continued US Attacks

Tehran, July 18: A senior military advisor in Iran has issued a stark warning. If the United States continues its military actions against Iran over the next two to three days, the nation will enter a phase of aggression and destruction.

Mohsen Rezaei, a military advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made this statement during an interview with state-run IRIB TV. He declared that the policy of both war and negotiation has come to an end.

According to the Xinhua news agency, Rezaei emphasized that if US attacks persist, Iran’s military will not limit itself to merely retaliatory strikes. He warned that American bases and troops would not be safe within any political boundaries.

Rezaei noted that Iran has exercised restraint to prevent the conflict from escalating into a larger regional and international crisis. He accused the US of miscalculating by transforming the situation into a regional conflict.

He cautioned that continued US actions would lead Iran to deploy more ground forces and military capabilities, expanding the scope of the conflict.

The military advisor called on the people of Gulf countries to help de-escalate tensions. He urged citizens from Kuwait, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar to assist in preventing further escalation.

Rezaei stated that Iran’s response to US attacks has been significant, and military operations are expected to intensify in the coming days. He warned the US to prepare for larger missile and drone strikes, advising against initiating any ground military operations against Iran.

Meanwhile, Iran’s semi-official news agency Tasnim reported that Iranian security forces targeted a vessel violating regulations in the Strait of Hormuz. A military source indicated that the Thai-flagged ship attempted to cross the Strait without the necessary permission from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and ignored warnings.

In recent days, the US military has conducted multiple strikes on Iran’s southern provinces, claiming these actions are responses to Iranian forces targeting vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The aim is to diminish Iran’s capability to threaten commercial shipping.

Iran has retaliated with a series of missile and drone strikes targeting US military bases and installations throughout the region.
