Patna, July 19: Shakti Yadav, the chief spokesperson of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), provided an update on the health of party leader Lalu Prasad Yadav. He stated that after experiencing some discomfort, Yadav was taken to the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna, where doctors conducted health assessments and placed him under observation for a period of time.
Shakti Yadav mentioned that Lalu Prasad Yadav has been battling various health issues for an extended period. Therefore, it is crucial for him to be in a supportive environment with favorable conditions. To cater to his medical needs, a separate room was arranged to ensure that appropriate facilities were available for his health.
The RJD spokesperson alleged that, under orders from the power establishment, the room was vacated, despite Lalu Prasad Yadav being eligible for it. If he were not eligible, he would not have been allotted the residence at 39 Harding Road in the first place. Subsequently, Lalu Prasad Yadav returned to his previous residence, which is not suitable for his health.
Shakti Yadav asserted that the current environment where Lalu Prasad Yadav resides is not conducive to good health. Visitors to the area must cover their noses, indicating the poor conditions. Such a situation is inappropriate for someone already undergoing treatment for serious illnesses.
While discussing Lalu Prasad Yadav’s personality and political career, Shakti Yadav emphasized that he has never compromised on his ideology throughout his political journey. Lalu Yadav can endure various hardships and physical pain, but he remains steadfast in his principles and promises to the public. He has consistently prioritized secularism, the upliftment of the poor, and social justice in his political agenda. The commitment he has made towards social change and revolution is unwavering.
Shakti Yadav concluded by stating that Lalu Prasad Yadav’s greatest strength is his unwavering adherence to his political and ideological principles, regardless of the circumstances. He expressed confidence that with proper medical supervision and care, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s health will improve, allowing him to return to normal activities soon.
