New Delhi, April 2: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has continued its operations for the third consecutive day in a corruption case linked to Shahdara North Zone in Delhi. The action is based on allegations of bribery. During the investigation, a junior engineer, Shubham Rawat, and a laborer, Giriraj Bansal, have been taken into custody.
This case pertains to construction activities in the Karawal Nagar area. The ongoing CBI actions have created a state of panic within the zonal office. Following the arrests of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Mishra and administrative officer Divyanshu Gautam on Monday, the CBI team unexpectedly arrived at the office again on Wednesday, conducting thorough investigations for several hours.
During this time, officials raided various departmental rooms, seizing important documents, files, and laptops, which are now under detailed examination. Sources indicate that both Shubham Rawat and Giriraj Bansal are being interrogated to gather information regarding their roles in the case. It is reported that the entire matter is related to complaints about construction work in the Karawal Nagar area.
Allegations suggest that bribery was involved, which has prompted this action. However, the investigation agency has yet to release any official detailed information. The sudden arrival of the CBI team has led to a chaotic atmosphere in the office throughout the day, with employees discussing the operation among themselves. Everyone seems to be speculating about the seriousness of the case. The ongoing actions indicate that the investigation agency is fully committed to this case, and further revelations are expected in the coming days.
