Captain Amarinder Singh Undergoes Successful Knee Replacement Surgery

Chandigarh, February 13: Ashwani Sharma, the acting state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab, visited former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh at Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Friday. He inquired about Captain Singh’s health and offered prayers for his swift recovery.

Captain Amarinder Singh had been experiencing persistent knee pain for several days. He was admitted to Fortis Hospital on February 9, where he successfully underwent knee replacement surgery on February 10. Following the procedure, he was moved to the ICU for monitoring. Hospital sources report that the operation was successful, his condition is now stable, and he is in the recovery phase. A team of doctors is continuously monitoring his progress.

During the visit, Ashwani Sharma gathered detailed information about Captain Singh’s health. He stated, “Captain Amarinder Singh has made significant contributions to the politics of Punjab and the nation. His spirit of service, experience, and leadership have always been inspiring. During this challenging time, the entire BJP family stands shoulder to shoulder with Captain Singh and his family.”

Sharma prayed for Captain Amarinder Singh’s complete recovery, long life, and good health, hoping he would return to active public service soon. He remarked, “Captain Singh’s strong will and experience are vital for Punjab’s politics. We all wish for his swift return.”

Several other party leaders, including Haryana Minister Anil Vij, have also visited the hospital to check on his well-being. Captain Singh is recovering quickly and may soon be discharged to return home.

It is noteworthy that Captain Amarinder Singh has served as Punjab’s Chief Minister twice and is currently a prominent face of the BJP. Concerns about his health had been prevalent among party workers and supporters, but the news of his improvement has brought relief. The BJP Punjab has officially wished for his speedy recovery.
