Bhopal, March 7: Madhya Pradesh’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur emphasized the need for a society where daughters are safe and self-reliant. She stated that both the central and state governments are actively working for the welfare of daughters.
In her message for International Women’s Day, Minister Gaur extended her wishes to the women of the state. She highlighted that economic independence and educational development for women are the foundations of a healthy, safe, and prosperous society. The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to empowering half of the population, guided by the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.’
On this Women’s Day, she called for a collective commitment to build a society where every daughter is safe, every woman is self-reliant, and every mother wears a smile.
She noted that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the good governance of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, India is progressing from ‘women’s development’ to ‘development led by women.’
Minister Gaur assured that the government is ensuring that even the women at the last rung of society are included in the mainstream of development, fulfilling the pledge of ‘Antyodaya.’
She mentioned that the dream of ‘Developed India 2047’ will remain incomplete until the upliftment of women from the most marginalized sections of society is achieved. With this goal, the government is developing hostels for daughters equipped with all facilities as ‘Ideal Hostels’ for excellent education. Timely post-matric scholarships are being provided to the students.
Additionally, through the ‘Sardar Patel Coaching Scheme’ and the national ‘Seed’ project, free coaching is being offered to daughters for prestigious competitive exams like UPSC, MPPSC, NEET, and JEE, enabling them to secure administrative and technical positions.
Gaur also mentioned that special training programs are being conducted to upgrade the traditional businesses of women from backward and minority communities to meet modern market demands. This initiative is helping their products compete in the market, leading to women’s economic self-reliance.
